Notes:
- Spa Aqua Combs are for both standard spas and all swim Spas that use Cartridge style filters.
- The large swim Spa filters are shallow pleated the same as the smaller regular Spa cartridges.
- Pool Cartridge filters are deep pleated and require the longer comb length to get to the back of the pleat fold!
Cleaning tips:
1) Set the cartridge on top of a 5 gallon bucket; it will save your back and the falling water will create a pull (suction) that will help the water pull the dirt out of the filter.
2) The comb and water stream should be at a 45 degrees downward angle to increase cleaning action. When you shoot directly at the filter face you are pushing the debris deeper into the filter.
3) For pool techs if they carry a short 5 to 10 foot long 3/8” to ½” hose it is way more flexible and easier to work the Aqua Comb than the standard ¾” hoses, saves time and effort!
4) Start at the top of the filter and work the spray downward with a rolling action to bring the debris to the outside of the cartridge the flowing water down the side will send it down and out the bottom faster without rolling up hair, bugs etc.in the pleats!
5) After each down run return to the filter top move over ½ the comb width and repeat the down run. Continue this procedure till you have gone around the filter two full times this will complete the clean cycles allowing you to hit all of the pleats.
6) Note: if you have been cleaning a filter with any other devise you will need to do a little extra work the first time you use our Aqua Comb as you have stuffed much debris deep into the filter but after that you will not need more than two passes to fully clean you filter.
7) Using the Aqua Comb properly will fully clean the filter so you should have long cycle times between cleanings.
