    Services Include:

    • Poolblu Field Engineering – initial on site visual (Service performed by Poolblu professionals)
    • Poolblu Professional Licensed Engineering – As required by the Illinois Health Department (Fees Apply on a per project basis, as outlined).
    • Illinois Health Department Permit Application & Inspection Fees: Fees Apply on a per project basis based on the fee schedule provided.
    • Poolblu Final Field Engineering Inspection (Prices vary according to scope and State/City)
    • Poolblu shall develop plans and submittal of documents to the State of Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) for pool heater installation.
    • PoolBlu shall provide information regarding proposed pool heater installation including existing pool equipment room layout, gas supply, combustion air and exhaust. A pool area plan along with depth, volume and water treatment equipment information shall also be provided.
    • Mechanical, electrical or plumbing improvements shall be addressed by Poolblu including combustion air and exhaust ventilation for the pool water heater.
    • Submittal of pool construction plans to the IDPH for review and approval. The development and submittal of one Petition for Variance is included. Work related in excess of one Petition for Variance will be invoiced as additional service as the State dictates. Although we do not anticipate necessity for county or local submissions, the submittal for county or local approval, if required, will be invoiced as an additional service. Please note: the preceding additional submittals are unknowns, yet we have accounted for one re-submission, as history and recent experience has dictated. This portion of the fee will be credited to the customer should it be unnecessary/unused. Work related to plan re-submittals to IDPH will be invoiced as Additional Services.
    • Poolblu shall coordinate with the Review Agencies as necessary for Compliance and Licensing Inspections.

    Notes:

    A permit is required for any “major alteration” to an existing commercial swimming pool, which includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • An alteration of a pool that changes the water surface area, depth, or volume.
    • An addition of a permanently installed appurtenance such as a diving board, slide, or starting platform.
    • Modification of the design of the recirculation system, which includes Heaters, Pumps, Filters, Controllers and Replacement or modification of a bather preparation facility.

        No permit is required for maintenance or minor repair or the replacement of equipment with “comparable components”.
