Services Include:

  • Collect all available information from observations regarding pool type, age, construction methods, leak rate, (how much per day or hour), etc.
  • How long has the leak occurred.
  • Identify the level of the leak, if known.
  • Statistical comparison of the above information with experience and leak identification database. This information helps guide further investigation and testing for the most likely and economical leak discovery.
  • Visually inspect above ground system components and pool structure, including surrounding ground.
  • Inspect and static hydro-test waterline, deck reachable joints, surfaces, fittings for leaks, (skimmers, inlets, stairs, jets).
  • Dive to perform the same for submerged joints, surfaces and fittings such as main drains, deep suctions, etc.
  • Pressure test underground lines.
  • Underground lines diagnosed with leaks can be diagnosed using specialized techniques and underground or underwater listening equipment to further identify leak location.

Notes:

  • The various services included in leak detection jobs vary as each step is executed, and may not necessitate many or most of what is listed above.
  • The nature of leak detection makes firm quoting for an entire solution impossible. Only clearly defined stages allow for quoted pricing.
  • Any permits, (water discharge, etc.) if required, are the responsibility of the owner.
